- One chi equals 3.75 grams. Cambodian gold shops quote prices per chi, and ten chi make one damleung (37.5 grams), so a damleung price is simply ten times the chi price.
- How do you convert the world gold price into a Cambodian chi price?
- Start from the international spot price for one troy ounce (31.1035 grams), divide by 31.1035 to get the price per gram, then multiply by 3.75 for one chi. For example, a spot price of $4,000 per ounce works out to about $128.6 per gram and roughly $482 per chi.
- What is the difference between 24K and 18K gold prices?
- 24K gold is close to pure, while 18K is 75% gold mixed with other metals for durability. As a rule of thumb the 18K price is about three quarters of the 24K price for the same weight, which is why 18K jewellery costs noticeably less per chi.
